Welcome message from the Congress Chairman
I have great pleasure in welcoming you on behalf of ISQ and QCI to the ANQ Congress Delhi 2010. I greatly value your active participation and contribution to the growth of quality management concepts and technology. We appreciate your sharing your knowledge and experience based on research and application with your contemporaries from all over Asia.
We look forward to the emergence of new approaches and application that could make substantial contribution to the well being of people from Asia. The theme of the Congress “Quality for inclusive growth of Asia” is very appropriate and timely as this part of the world is poised for an accelerated growth of its economy.
Asia is destined to play its rightful role in the world socio-economic order. It is imperative to reduce the wide disparity amongst the people of Asia in terms of economic prosperity and general health. Our aim should be towards an inclusive growth benefiting all sections of the society and all regions of Asia.
We are honored and privileged to have the opportunity to host the Congress for the second time and we hope to make it much more enjoyable, efficient and effective. With the active cooperation of all ANQ members we would like to make this possible.
I look forward to your participation and I wish you a purposeful and more rewarding experience at the Congress.
Dr. V. Krishnamurthy
Congress Chairman
Welcome message from the Chairman, ANQ
It is heartening to see the Asian economy recovering from the turmoil and growing faster than other regions. It is recognized that the crisis of last year has compounded the problem of the weaker sections of our society and made them more vulnerable. Hence the theme of the 8th ANQ Congress is ‘Quality for Inclusive Growth of Asia’.
Over the last year ANQ has taken the initiative to focus its energies to work for quality in education, health, social, infrastructure and public service sectors that have the greatest impact on the lives of the weaker sections.
It is therefore commendable that for this reason the hosts of the Congress have selected these subjects as the streams on which the presentations will be made and discussions held for mutual learning that could be used to improve quality in these sectors for inclusive growth.
We from ANQ invite quality professionals from all regions of Asia to actively participate in this cooperative endeavor at the ANQ Congress Delhi 2010, working in harmony with and respect for each other towards ANQ’s common goal of contributing to the improvement of ‘Quality of Human Life’ especially for those who are the most vulnerable.
Mr. Janak Mehta
Chairman, ANQ
